TAG GmbH publishes its first sustainability report: A milestone for a sustainable energy future

We are sending a clear message and proudly presenting TAG’s first publicly available Sustainability Report in line with the VSME reporting standard, reflecting our commitment to transparency, responsible business practices, and the sustainable transformation of the energy sector. The report demonstrates how TAG continues to ensure security of supply today while actively preparing its infrastructure and organization for the energy system of tomorrow. 

Highlights 2025

Sustaining Tomorrow
  • Achieved a 95% reduction in direct CO₂ emissions compared to the baseline.  
  • Reduced methane emissions by 84%, supported by continuous monitoring and mitigation initiatives.  
  • Received the OGMP 2.0 Gold Standard for methane reporting for the fifth consecutive year.  
  • Advanced the SoutH2 Corridor and the H₂ Readiness Project, supporting the future transport of hydrogen through existing infrastructure.  
Sustaining Solidarity
  • Expanded the workforce to 197 employees, strengthening competencies for future challenges.  
  • Achieved zero accidents and zero fatalities among employees and contractors.  
  • Delivered almost 9,500 training hours across technical, safety, compliance, ESG and leadership topics.  
  • Maintained a gender pay gap of -0.73%, reflecting a strong commitment to fair and equitable remuneration.  
  • Our total tax contribution accounting for EUR 14.9 M, with additional EUR 412k contribution to landowners and additional EUR 103k investments in our communities.   
Sustaining Trust
  • Maintained more than 99.9% network availability, ensuring reliable energy transportation across Austria and neighboring countries.  
  • Successfully managed changing European gas flows while continuously safeguarding domestic supply and energy security.  
  • Recorded zero physical security incidents and zero harmful cybersecurity incidents.  
  • Established a dedicated ESG governance structure and ESG Committee, embedding sustainability into decision-making processes.  
  • Achieved certification according to ISO 50001 (Energy Management) and ISO 27001 (Information Security).  
  • Reported zero compliance incidents, zero corruption cases and zero related fines.  

These achievements demonstrate that sustainability, operational reliability and business success go hand in hand at TAG GmbH as we continue to support Austria’s and Europe’s energy future.
