Transportation could be restarted without any restrictions yesterday late evening.

   

08:20 p.m.

After the necessary verifications by the competent authorities the authorization for the putting into operation of the facilities was obtained.

At the moment all the necessary measures on site and with adjacent Transmission System Operators are taken in order to restart with the transportation through the TAG pipeline presumably at 11:00 p.m.

 

03:40 p.m.

All fires in the facilities of Gas Connect Austria GmbH at the Baumgarten Natural Gas Station are completely extinguished since ca. 02:30 p.m.

TAG GmbH currently evaluates together with Gas Connect Austria GmbH and all relevant authorities on site when transportation through TAG pipelines can be resumed.

TAG GmbH is in coordination with adjacent Transmission System Operators and implements all necessary measures to restart operation after as soon as possible after approval by the authorities.

10:30 a.m.

An explosion occured this morning before 09:00 a.m. on the grounds of Gas Connect Austria GmbH in the Baumgarten Natural Gas Station. All emergency personnel were immediately informed and are dealing with the situation on site. The explosion led to a serious fire, which has been contained to a few small fires.

TAG GmbH operates facilities at the Baumgarten Natural Gas Station as well. Our knowledge at this point is that no facilities of TAG GmbH are affected. As soon as we know more, we will release more information.
